WinTricks is a hypertext document that compiles lots of Windows, Internet and Office tips and tricks. This program includes information about how to tweak some features (Desktop, Registry, Security, Hardware, Easter Eggs, Keyboard Shortcuts) in Windows 95, 98, NT4, Server 2000/2003/2008 and XP. It also contains tips for Internet Browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape and Opera). WinTricks also offers tips about your Hardware, Websites, Laptops and AOL It even has a section in which you will be able to read tips and tricks for programs in the Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
The program does nothing but displaying texts with the information about the tricks. It does not modify your system in any way. You can browse through the different texts by using the program´s navigator-like interface, with "Back" and "Forward" arrows. There is a "Print" button, but you won´t be able to print anything. It is possible to search for a given tip, by using the "Search" feature. You can also set bookmarks, to find a piece of information in the future quickly. |
